Swim
Comments: Practiced the tips coach Sarah gave me. Still a lot of work to be done but I was not nearly as tired. What would you do differently?: train regularly. Transition 1
Comments: I was a bit off in my Transition. I haven't really practiced. What would you do differently?: Practice, guess I thought I knew what I was doing. Couldn't find my shots and spent precious moments looking for them. Bike
Comments: Chased Joe McFadden down. My swim leg was left a half hour after the first wave so I felt really behind most of the time. What would you do differently?: Clean my bike before I leave. Transition 2
Comments: My bike spot was taken and it took me a second to adjust. What would you do differently?: practice. Run
Comments: The soft sand sucked the life out of my legs and I walked...ugh! Practiced form and could maintain a stronger pace than previous races. What would you do differently?: More consistent training. Post race
Warm down: Walked, ate and drank water. What limited your ability to perform faster: Lack of training on my part. I was not prepared or soft sand and it really took a toll on me. Event comments: I love this local race; its close to home and the crew tries to put on a race to suit everyone. They have included chip timing My only complaint this year is that they did not have Heed or something along those lines at the drink station on the run. Last updated: 2014-07-14 12:00 AM

Ate oatmeal and headed out to the race.
Swam some; coach Sarah said I should practice fast swimming for three short lengths. Watched Jayden through the pool window while I stretched. He was playing soccer.
