Swim
Comments: I didn't think I was that slow but this was my slowest Tinman swim ever. I felt good though Transition 1
Comments: I sat down, washed my feet w/ water bottle and put shoes on. Then ran short distance to mount line. Usually I have shoes preclipped but I was racked near the bike exit and I hadn't practiced my preclipped routine. I was not in any kind of rush made sure I fueled and hydrated Bike
Comments: Fastest bike split for this distance ever. Strange because I haven't trained much on bike this season, concentrating on run and swim and I got slower in those disciplines this year lol Transition 2
Comments: Didn't bother putting body glide on feet. Run
Comments: I still have bad memories of my Honu run and was dreading the heat. I only walked thru the aid stations and kept jogging even on the hills. Slowest run ever on Tinman but I really didn't want to stress myself out, and enjoy my last tri if the year. Post race
Event comments: I was really wanting to enjoy myself and not put any pressures on myself. I still beat my slowest overall Tinman time with hardly any training since Honu, and PR'd on my bike split. I'm pretty satisfied for the outcome even though I went into the race with a relaxed mindset. I also didn't have anybody waiting for me at the finish line on purpose to avoid pressure. Even if I decide not to race next year, I will still always do Tinman for tradition Last updated: 2014-07-28 12:00 AM
