Swim
Comments: The Turn Buoy was the same color and size as all the rest. Made it somewhat confusing as it was stressful to be constantly wondering where you were turning. The buoy's were not linear thus making sighting a PITA. I think this course was longer than 1.2. My slow swims are 1:40 per 100 What would you do differently?: Nothing. Transition 1
Comments: I hustle through transition but I still have opportunity to shave time by being more coordinated. Still put socks and bike shoes on in transition. Bike
Comments: I think there is enormous opportunity for improvement in my bike. Need to get better shoes and re-fit. Was having some back stress issues. Kept having to stand up to open up my hips. Got my first penalty for being Overtaken and not dropping fast enough. 4 minutes added to my time. boo. What would you do differently?: I'm a spaz switching water bottles. Practice more. Transition 2
Comments: Had to take off a layer as it was too hot for the run. Also hit myself up with sun tan spray which added to my time. What would you do differently?: Forgot the darn Electrolyte pills out of my bike bento bag. Run
Comments: The downhills were tough on the knees. The cheerleaders and water stations were well run. This was a great run even though the hills were tough. What would you do differently?: Do more hill training for next year. Especially practicing good form on the downhill run. Post race
Warm down: Was able to get a massage at the massage tent which was nice. Basic cool down. Hit the river for a quick dip to cool down. What limited your ability to perform faster: My knees are still tight. Not at 100% recovery from this winters accident. Event comments: This is my second year here. The yellow jackets are CRAZY at the finish line park. Nowhere else on the course. They were all over the food and finish line drinks. I had to fend off about 5 flying around my bike to get out of transition. I took my stuff off to the side then came back to get my bike. I didn't get stung but lots of people were commenting on the bees. Last updated: 2014-09-09 12:00 AM

Got a great night sleep. Up early. Pole position parking. Lots of time to get ready and zen out. Good hydration and all bodily functions working as planned.
Not much. Quick swim and some dynamic stretching.
