Comments: put shoes on in T1 since no time to practice for this race. What would you do differently?: Practice putting shoes on before race. Bike
Comments: My goal was to go really hard on the bike and jog the run. I went out hard, and stayed nice and strong for the bike. What would you do differently?: Nothing. Transition 2
Comments: Short distance in t1. Got bike off and racked well and into running shoes and out quickly. What would you do differently?: practice coming out of bike shoes on the bike. Run
Comments: It was a hard, hot run. I did what I could just to hang on to the lead.... coming off the broken foot I knew the run would be my weak spot. I held on... luckily. What would you do differently?: Not brake my foot. Post race
Warm down: Got medal and went straight to results screen to see if I had actually won.... What limited your ability to perform faster: 2 months off with a broken foot. Had a 9.5 hour training week. No taper, did a easyish 85minute ride the day before. Got a good night's rest. Woke up, ate a bowl of oatmeal and drank some gatoriade on the way to the race. Got transition all setup and went to the short race Church service. Then chatted with other racers.
