Swim
Comments: Bit of a chop for SWFL water, although it didnt look too bad from shore. Once in the way out and was hard sighting and breathing. Also some lot people and a group could not swim straight slowed first lap but after they was gone for second lap it got a bit better. Sandbar had to go over 4 times and it got rough, had to run some to get over it then swim again Transition 1
Comments: Should have put on shirt for warmth but had issue getting stuff into shirt pocket so skipped long sleeves. What would you do differently?: take the extra seconds for the shirt. I knew it was not warming up for hours !! Bike
Comments: Winds was more than weather said and earlier than predicted but what can ya do? Was a slower ride out but took it easy knowing cross winds and a few stretches of tail winds back would make up for it What would you do differently?: I froze and was shaking till about mile 50. It was painful and should have taken shirt from T1. Even if I dumped it at special needs, it would have been worth the 2 min. It was had to ride I was so cold muscles was tight Transition 2
Comments: Pretty uneventful as always. Made sure I had what I needed for a bit and took off Run
Comments: Needed more salt sticks as it warmed. Dropped all of mine on the bike but did not realize it till around mile 30. Didnt get any till mile 13 and just had to deal with things till end What would you do differently?: Have extra salt in T2 for run. I usually do but gave them to Alexis who needed some, not expecting to lose mine on bike Post race
Warm down: Did some walking and got some food. Nadine was out there still and was wondering where she was. What limited your ability to perform faster: Not too sure, I had a pretty good day. Run got the best of me around mile 18 and if anything I could have done better with the minor stomach issues. Last 3 was bad, a gel was not staying down and took about 5 min of walking to settle then finished it off Event comments: I will always do this race every year like we have. Its a great January race and although weather could have been warmer (like it was weeks heading up to it) It still ended as a good day. HITS always has put on a great race and has for the last 4 years here in Naples. Last updated: 2014-10-10 12:00 AM

Kinda the same but forgot IPod, had to do more talking than normal. Also one of my athletes was racing her 1st half, so went over last min stuff with her
Some stretching but nothing else. Wether was in the 50's and was not getting in that water till I had to.
