Run
Comments: 3 weeks prior to race acute case of Plantar Fascitis presented itself in my left foot. I managed it the best I could over those three weeks but training suffered. Foot began to hurt after about 2 miles and this impacted my race as the miles ticked by. Combination of decreased training, higher weight than last year and injury contributed to a slowwer than desired time. What would you do differently?: Body Composition has to be an top goal for next year. Additionally, balance between the three disciplines needs to be maintained to allow for more consistent running. Post race
Warm down: Hobbled back to hard Rock. Had a gatorade and drove home. Iced foot and took motrin. What limited your ability to perform faster: Injury. Still not sure if I had the endurnace I displayed at this race last year. I've never raced with as much pain/discomfort as I did yesterday. Unsure on what the true impact was. Event comments: Highly recommend this race to anyone intersted. Last updated: 2014-10-20 12:00 AM

Woke up at 4:30AM for 7:00AM race start. Dressed, toasted a bagel with peanut butter and had a cup of coffee. Used the restroom and left by 5:20 to pick up my brother-in-law. Arrived downtown by 6:00am and hung out at Hard Rock cafe until 6:40AM. Sipped on water with electrolyte, used restroom. Had gels at 6:00AM and 6:40AM. Walked to corrals and got ready to race.
Bounced up and down a bit and had a short conversation with another runner about 5 and 20 minute power tests on the bike and about Endurance Nation coaching services.
