Swim
Comments: I could have gone faster... What would you do differently?: Start out to the side, but in front. Transition 1
Comments: I haven't yet mastered leaving my shoes clipped in and getting my feet in on the bike, so I put them on first, hobbled through transition and across the mat. When I started to get on my bike, I must have hit something, because my chain immediately popped off- which hasn't happened before. Took me a minute to get the darned thing back on! Ranked 77/426 on T1! Woohoo! What would you do differently?: Pretty good transition Bike
Comments: Seems everyone had aerobars but me. Got passed a lot, did some passing (especially on the hills). Felt I could have pushed faster on this leg. What would you do differently?: Go harder Transition 2
Comments: Again, a good transition. overall ranked 57/426 here. Run
Comments: The run is always hard for me...my knee started hurting (patellafemoral syndrome). Passed some, and had enough energy to push hard the last mile. What would you do differently?: I probably could have pushed a little harder throughout the run. Post race
What limited your ability to perform faster: Very humid on race day. Event comments: A nice race...lots of friendly people. Pasta salad available after race- I hate pasta salad! :) Last updated: 2006-07-31 12:00 AM

Had to get up at 4:30 for this one! Bleh...got dressed and ate my traditional pre-race meal of coffee, water and PBJ on whole wheat bread. I took a banana with me just in case I got hunger in the almost 4 hours before the race, but I didn't end up eating it.
Yeah, can we count the 1/2 mile walk or so from the parking lot to the transition area as my warm-up? I really need to start warming up before these races! Actually, I did get in a short out and back swim before my wave started.
