Pre-race routine:

Able to sleep in, for a change. Drove the half hour to the event site and set up.
Event warmup:

Practiced the start about a half dozen times while waiting.

Sighted well. No breathing issues, just incredibly slow. I was 68/71.

T1 was a dirt and gravel parking lot, so our feet got covered with mud, rocks, and debris. Removed my wetsuit on the carpet at the entrance of T1 so it wouldn't get dirty or damaged. Took the time to clean the debris off my feet before putting on my socks. Volunteers bagged our gear and took it to T2.
What would you do differently?:

Nothing. I think I did this transition well and posted one of the faster times.

Ate watermelon and more watermelon. Oh, and had some watermelon. Also had a massage.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

I'm just too slow at everything.

I'm just too slow. It was pretty demoralizing.
