Overall Rank = 515/12807

Age Group Rank = 7/325
Pre-race routine:

Up at 4:15am to catch the train, just coffee and toast to go
Event warmup:

got placement in first corral but there's not much room, jogged around in place and tried to stretch
Run
  • 1h 33m 18s
  • 13.1 miles
  • 07m 07s  min/mile
Comments:

Felt prepared and never stressed. Good run - had a few objectives, beat the 1:39 from two years ago, go under 1:36 to qualify for the NYC Marathon, and get a podium in AG (top 5). Accomplished 2 of 3 (missed the podium by :45)
What would you do differently?:

Need to have more confidence that I can run sub 7:00 miles for 13.1, ran 5 splits at sub 7:00 minutes including the last 2 miles (no splits over 7:20), but kept pulling up some because I was concerned about holding the pace.
Post race
Warm down:

Some water, walked to meet the family

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Confidence in sub 7:00 miles

Event comments:

Great big city race, well organized, always on time and never felt crowded even though 30,000 run the race. Its fun to run clear roads in the city that are always congested, and see the crowds come out for this race.

Performance: Good
Course: Great course, running up South Street, Chestnut Street and University City with thousands cheering is really motivating, great crowd support, flat course except for two modest hills at mile 6 and then again around mile 10, single loop.
