Run
Comments: This was a very different beast from the last trail race--this was on gravel and had no peanut butter mud, giant mountains, or other rocks or roots. Felt really good on the run, we walked the hills and did some faster running on flats and downs when we could. What would you do differently?: Faster! Post race
Warm down: Put on dry clothes, ate the soup at the finish line, stretched out a bit. What limited your ability to perform faster: Early in the season.....gotta keep dropping the pounds. Event comments: Very grass roots run. There was a 9.6, a 19 and a 50k at the same time and still not very many people overall. Everyone was friendly and I really enjoyed it. Nothing really--had sport legs an hour prior and a gu 15 min prior.
