Pre-race routine:

Woke up at 5:00 at the Moebes house on the lake. Bruce made us some oatmeal and Mrs. Moebes had the coffee ready. Bruce, Tardy, and I followed Mr. Moebes to the race site to get our packets.

Comments:

The course was pretty congested this year with bodies. I don't think 3 second intervals were enough; maybe 5 seconds to allow more space? I dolphined for the first 50 yards or so since the water was so shallow. A decent swim for me, although I probably could have gone 20-30 seconds faster. I got held up several times by slower swimmers swimming side by side.

I had a good ride today - finally. Several faster riders that I know passed me and decided to keep them in site. Having those guys setting a pace for me helped alot. I pushed it when I normally would have backed off.

I can't figure this course out. I'm capable of sub 20 minutes for 3 miles. In my 3 trips to Mt. Lakes I've never run under 21. All in all though a decent run.
