Comments: For my first 1/2 marathon not too bad but I had moments when I wanted to quit. I had a good pace (for me) at the beginning but the two hills kinda killed me and at the end I was walking alot. Overall I am happy BUT SORE! What would you do differently?: More distance. Less weight. Take water instead of gatorade at the stations! Post race
Warm down: Got my medal, my food, my water, my bag and then walked to my car. Unfortunately my family wasn't there so there was no need to stick around. Probably should have just to see people come in but I was cold, sore and tired What limited your ability to perform faster: Distance, my big belly, my age, the hills Event comments: First 1/2 in the bag and I am happy. banana, red bull, and peanut butter sandwich then off to the race. Tried to stretch and stay warm because it was friggin' cold. I never once stop saying to myself "I am making a serious mistake!"!
Stretching. Two porta potty visits. Walking around rubbing my hands together to stay warm!
