had peanut butter and banana on toast about 7 a.m. for 9 a.m. start

ran one mile in about 10 minutes, hopped around a bit. event started late so warmup was wasted

What limited your ability to perform faster:

started to fast, that was partly because I was stuck near the start line - there was no chip timing for the start

Event comments:

The event started late. There was no chip timing at the start, meaning people who weren't at the start line got a deceptively slow time. The actual times posted were about 15 seconds slower than the time shown at the finish time. The bag check was unguarded.
