Pushed most of the way but took it pretty easy last ten miles preparing for run, still doing 21mph plus during that stretch

took time to put on socks and talk to Cynthia, wanted to make sure I was comfortable on the run, however after about a mile the socks were wet and it was no use, still 4th fastest in group

crazy but the run was my highest ranked portion. wet socks and blisters but overall felt pretty good. got pretty around miles 9 and 10 but finished strong with the last 1.1 miles in 8:48
What would you do differently?:

drink a bit more gatorade early on. had a tinge of a cramp starting during mile 8, but drank 2 cups g-ade and one coke and took it easy for a mile and it went away
