Pre-race routine:

Event warmup:

Ran from my parents' house down to the start and looped around Lockhart to bring the mileage up to 1.2 miles.

Comments:

Was just intending for this to be a training run. It wasn't terrible, but was a little slower than I had intended. This was my first time running the 10K since they changed the course. I liked the old course better, but this one seemed better in terms of logistics/traffic control so I assume that's why they made the change.
What would you do differently?:

Not much
Post race
Warm down:

Got a drink and some orange slices at the finish. Talked to a few people, then ran back to my parents' house before the 5K started. I walked part of the 5K with my mother.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Doing something strange (well stranger than normal) with my stride.

Event comments:

It's always fun to do this race because there are usually lots of people that I know. I ended up on WENY's TV coverage!
