Comments: Felt good after my run but I could already tell eating the banana about 5 minutes before I started was going to be hurting me later on. Not even sure how you can start getting a stomach cramp on the bike, but that's what was happening Transition 2
Run
Comments: Did absolutely horrible on the 2nd run. That stomach cramp just kept getting worse. I even walked for about 10-15 seconds trying to stretch it out. Finally with about .75 mile left the stomach cramp went away and I sped back up a little, but the damage was already done. I was out of 3rd place by 1 minute 4 seconds. What would you do differently?: Know the wave start times better so I don't eat a freaking banana 5 minutes before I'm supposed to start! Post race

Wake up at 4:30 and eat a big breakfast and go to the bathroom before 5am when we needed to leave. Even though our race wasn't starting until 8am, parking was going to be an issue.
City of Irving closed Lake Carolyn, so the race turned in to a duathlon. So I was only able to run as my warm-up. And all the start times shifted to an earlier time, so I was caught off guard when my wave started. I had just barely warmed up for 10-15 minutes and stretched when they were starting.
