Had a banana at home, about 2 hours before the race and some Beans (100 cal) 20 minutes before.

Comments:

This was a small run on the local rails to trails trail. I signed up early in the season, intending to do the full marathon. Injuries sidelined me most of the summer but I managed to build up to the half, not as well as I should have, but I ran this just to finish! The first half of the race is uphill and the return is downhill. It was hard, but was a beautiful morning for a run! I was happy just to finish and pass some people in the last few miles!

Grabbed a heat blanket and some chocolate milk!

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Lack of training due to injuries.
