Comments:

Legs felt very dead right from the start. Just flat. I trained a lot in the week leading up to this and it might have just been too much. I wanted to go sub 1:00:00 and thought I had a very legitimate shot but not on this day.

"mount" McKinley was hard. Kept the pace under 7:10 while ascending. Some kid came by me like I was standing still on the way up. This was the only person to pass me after the first mile.

After McKinlely my legs actually came around a little bit and I was actually able to catch up and pass the only other guy who passed me early on. The last mile is long. You can see the finish for about 0.8 miles and it is sunny with a tiny bit of uphill? I wanted to be done very badly but as soon as I was done I felt pretty good.
What would you do differently?:

Not train as much in the days before.

Fun race that I will do every chance I get. I like the distance.
