Comments: I used the person who entered next to me as my "pace dog" and I kept up with her through the whole leg. What would you do differently?: Work on increasing endurance to swim more freestyle and less breaststroke, although the breaststroke is always useful for gaining bearings and seeing what's going on ahead. Transition 1
Bike
What would you do differently?: Now I have a cadence computer, and will use that for race pacing. I can push myself harder in this leg, particularly if I increase the intensity of my bike training. Transition 2
Comments: This one was hard because of the rain. I also took time to do some yoga stretches (downward dog) to make my calves less susceptible to bricks. Run
Comments: Much better than last year! Post race
Warm down: Stretch, stretch, stretch, drink Cytomak, eat banana. What limited your ability to perform faster: Not wanting to run out of energy during the run, so I didn't push myself on the bike as hard as I could have. Event comments: Great event, very friendly and organized. Last updated: 2006-08-13 12:00 AM
