Complete and total lack of knowledge and experience.

Event comments:

This was my first ever triathlon so I used the gear I had. Swam in my swim suit. Put on a tee shirt and jumped on my mountain bike. Change into my big box store cheap shoes and ran the best I could. I was just tickled to finish. I was concerned about making the published course cutoff times (that I don't think were actually implemented). I remember getting my finish time receipt and being excited about my 1:35 finish and the lady at the computer just looked at me like I was nuts. I was hooked on Triathlon - next race in 3 weeks.
