Swim
What would you do differently?: More practice with the new wetsuit. This was the first OWS with the suit Transition 1
Comments: T1 was slow. I needed to put on socks and bandaids to the cut up toes and I did not want to put these on until after the swim and the sandy run. Needed to make sure feet were dry, which took a while. What would you do differently?: Not slice feet the day prior to the race Bike
Comments: Bike ride felt good except I needed to pee at mile 15 and there was no place to go and I'm not hard core enough to pee on the bike. I slowed my H2O intake the last half of the ride--- bad idea that hurt me on the run. What would you do differently?: Make sure the new computer worked in the AM- it worked Saturday, but not during the race Transition 2
Comments: Changed bloody socks for the run. This took a few minutes What would you do differently?: Not cut feet the day before the race. Run
Comments: COuld not get HR les than 170. Lower quads hurt first mile. Surprixed, but the feet held up- for the most part. Post race
What limited your ability to perform faster: My 38 year old body. Over all it felt good for my first OLY Event comments: As has been mentioned. Sara was there the night before and gave a great talk. Also, Thanks to the young lady that is starting medical school next week. The chattting during the run allowed me to finish the run without walking. Last updated: 2006-08-13 12:00 AM

Woke up after 2 hours of sleep and drove to the event. Set up transition and mellowed out
Quick swim- hard to walk on bare feet since I sliced them on the Zebra Mussles the day before.
