Comments:

Started to far behind the front and got caught up to the first turn. Start faster and from the front to avoid having to swim over the top of people.

Second lap hit by another competitor wave and took till the second buoy 400m to get clear water. Had to swim around the outside.
What would you do differently?:

Start at the front of the pack and let others swim over the top if they need too.

Corners straight into ride. Need to be much faster through the transition. Lost at least 1 minute.
What would you do differently?:

No socks and move quicker as the distance to the start of the bike was a reasonable distance.

Way too slow. Felt as though I would suffer cramps at the start which slowed my pace. Need to take in some foods in transition to allow for this.
What would you do differently?:

Need to push harder and take in food at transition.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Getting caught behind slower swimmers and a poor run leg.

Event comments:

Very enjoyable despite my lack of performance. Very well organised and ran to time which was good. Water clean and smooth. Bike leg a little tricky with the corners and a long walk with the bike before mounting. Temperature was hot at about 32-35 degrees when getting to the run, most of which was in the shade which was well though out.

Excellent turnout and atmosphere.
