Swim
What would you do differently?: Could have easily gone faster if I wasn't worried about passing. Should have put in faster time. Spent most of swim extremely comfortable, as it seemed like I was hitting the wall very quickly. Could have pushed it more in a faster grouping. Transition 1
Comments: Took my sweet time. First race in 7 years, just wanted to make sure I didn't forget anything. Even got a drink of my Americano. Oh how I love coffee :). Bike
Comments: Camel back was great decision! What would you do differently?: train more, get bike looked at shifting felt like chain was going to come off. Transition 2
Comments: Lolly gagging again, but this time it was the socks What would you do differently?: get feet used to no socks again Run
Comments: hips are still slowing me down. over all happy because fastest since the baby What would you do differently?: keep working on stabilizing hips stretching and training. Post race
What limited your ability to perform faster: new baby, hips Event comments: I thought this was a great sprint course. Volunteers were extremely helpful. Race was well organized, it was easy to know what to do and where to go. I really liked the bike course that was out and back through the rolling Texas farm land outside Denton. Run course had perfect amount of aid stations and lots of volunteers. Finish line was down hill and made for a great finish. Fun medals and great post race sponsors and food. It's also a fundraiser for TWU's women's soccer team to help offset some of their costs. The team was there volunteering which I thought was awesome. Last updated: 2015-07-28 12:00 AM
