Jumped in a lost goggles. Put them back on but right one filled with water. Swam the entire race with 1 eye

Decent pace for me although last half of run was really hot.

Event comments:

This is a really good race for racers and spectators. Lots of things for kids to do while watching. Race has a fun atmosphere and is great for beginners because it is pretty flat and the canal is shallow for swimmers. The downside is some of the road is pretty rough and the canal has some vegetation.
