Swim
Comments: Pretty decent showing, I guess. First saltwater swim of the year, a little chop occasionally interfered with sighting, but I don't think it really affected performance. What would you do differently?: Probably nothing. If I'd gotten to the venue a lot earlier, I could have gotten a decent swim warmup, but it probably wouldn't have really affected performance. Transition 1
Bike
Comments: Biking felt kind of tough, like it was hard to push. Objectively, I thought I was going slow, but I did pass a lot of people without getting passed again. I don't know if I could have done any better given conditions, training, etc. Transition 2
Run
Comments: Nothing much to report. I was surprised at how quickly mile 1 seemed to hit, and I felt lousy at that point, but my pace wasn't that far off. Post race
Warm down: Walk around a bit, take a slow 2 mile jog with another athlete (Kathleen Scotti), eat and drink some more. Then go out for an additional 3 mi run just because it was such a perfect day. What limited your ability to perform faster: Run conditioning. Event comments: Well-organized, very nice course, great staff, great volunteers, just all-around a great race and one I'll be doing again. Last updated: 2015-08-09 12:00 AM

Get to venue. Panic when I realized that I actually forgot to sign up for the race. Breathe sigh of relief when reg was still open and I had money.
None at all.
