Run
Comments: I went out fast and felt good. Much faster than usual. When I feel good I should just go Psyched about this time and think it is a multi-sport PR Transition 1
Comments: That's as good as I get Bike
Comments: It was super humid and hot. I drank my whole aero bottle after 6 miles--got to keep a second one on the bike. But I was Ok. What would you do differently?: Carry second bottle Transition 2
Run
Comments: Flippin' humid and with the sun it was killer. BUT no cramping, tried to keep the pace reasonable but not crazy. I walked the one hill from trail to street and that kept the HR down. Post race
Warm down: Walked a lot. Water bottle, banana, gatorade and then I was good. What limited your ability to perform faster: Freakin' hot and humid. But smart choices in spite of that. Event comments: Really nice local race by a local organization. Very well-run. Concern for safety was strong with lots of volunteers on course even on the run. And they sent someone out to sweep up the stuff farmers left on the road so it was alll very clean. I'll do this one regularly. Last updated: 2015-08-29 12:00 AM

took about 1h 30 min to get to Alex. Arr just before 8 am which was fine since it was a small race and didn't start until 9 am
A jog and a short bike to make sure gears were working
