Swim
Comments: Wet suit zipper broke and I had a 4" hole in my suit. My suit immediately filled with cold water. I was hypothermic before the first buoy and started vomiting. I had to stop and get on a paddle board for about 20 minutes to warm up. I seriously considered DNF, What would you do differently?: Not swim in a broken wetsuit. Transition 1
Comments: I was so cold and lost so much energy from swim that It was a struggle to get through the transition. I had difficulty focusing. What would you do differently?: I am disappointed in the transition, but the swim went so poorly I struggled in transition Bike
Comments: Between the headwind and recovering from the swim the out portion of the bike was tough. I struggled on the first half of the ride. The ride from the monument to Tawas was fun and fast. Tailwind and downhill. I am happy with the nutrition and hydration plan. I peed on the bike for the first time ever. What would you do differently?: Again the poor swim ruined the bike. Transition 2
Comments: Slow transition and I had to pee. Run
Comments: Run was the highlight of my day. Post race
Warm down: cold watermelon What limited your ability to perform faster: the hole in my wet suit Event comments: The race is a great race and 3 Disciplines puts on a great event. Last updated: 2015-09-16 12:00 AM
