Run
Comments: I started out way to fast (less than 6min/mile pace) which really hurt me later on. The middle third was killer and my quads were hating me. I really need to build conditioning. I told myself I'd be happy with 9min/miles and accomplished that so I shouldn't be disappointed. This was more of a training run for me anyway and an opportunity to get in an LT test. What would you do differently?: Eat less for breakfast and start off much slower. Post race
Warm down: Walked around a bit and drank water. Talked with furndog and our wives. What limited your ability to perform faster: Ate too much for breakfast, lack of speed training, lack of conditioning. Event comments: Good race for a good cause. This was a good little event with a neighborhood feel. It was really cool having furndog and his wife there (even though they both beat me!) especially since they got to meet Mrs. Wookie. Good job to all that supported and participated in this fun event! Last updated: 2006-08-14 12:00 AM

I ate to much breakfast. I had an onion begal with salmon creamcheese and sliced ham. Half would have been plenty. I really need to stop over eating prior to races.
I ran some short down and backs through the parking lot and tried to get my HR up a little. Had some water, talked with furndog and his wife while we waited for the starting horn.
