Took ferry out to Thompson Island.

Comments:

Overall felt pretty good.
What would you do differently?:

I didn't get a great sleep the night before the race. I would've loved to break a 6:00 pace but given my low run volume lately and the poor night's sleep, I'm pretty happy with the results.

Run volume, pre-race rest.

Event comments:

I love this event. Taking the ferry out into Boston Harbor is always fun, and the race is well-organized and benefits a great cause (Thompson Island Outward Bound). It's sponsored by Harpoon Brewery so the after-party is always fun. The field continues to grow and get more competitive each year.

Performance: Good
Course: There were some minor changes to the course from previous years but for the most part it was the same. Challenging and hilly course for such a short race. There were several areas that were rutted and I almost rolled an ankle a couple times. There were over 1,000 runners this year so it was fairly congested on the course for much of the race.
