Swim
Transition 1
Comments: Wetsuit stippers were awesome. Amazing how many people killed themselves to get to the swim finish then walked . Three words - on your left! Bike
Comments: There are two longish but not steep hills to grind up and sections of road that stink. Overall it's a really nice bike course and there are three bottle swaps. I rode it a month ago so I knew what I was in store for. What would you do differently?: Train to get my race pace up a mile per hour without killing myself. Transition 2
Comments: Felt pretty fast and I tend to lag in these things. Run
Comments: I was told more than once not to go bananas on the first loop. I learned that lesson when I previewed the course over the summer..in 95 degree heat..with no fuel. Weather cooperated on race day which helped out a ton. What would you do differently?: Now that I know I can run of the bike (weather permitting) and not kill myself, work on getting a little deeper in the cave o pain. Post race
Warm down: Massage, beer, pizza, more beer, more pizza. What limited your ability to perform faster: Experience Event comments: This race lived up to its billing - very awesome for a first timer. Last updated: 2015-09-29 12:00 AM

Stayed 20 minutes away in Grovetown as we waitied too long to book a hotel downtown. It was fine and cheap. Up at 3:30, out the door an hour later, parked at the Marriott by 4:45 and on the first shuttle to transition.
