Pre-race routine:

I got to the race in plenty of time with having had my preferred breakfast and felt relatively organized. Things went downhill though when I started taking too long fiddling with stuff. I would have had enough time to except that my one eye started to tear and turned bloodshot. I spent 15 min dealing with that and barely made it to the water on time.

It was very choppy I'd never swum in so much chop. I was happy with how I adjusted to the chop

I went right to the car feeling badly my family was hungry for lunch. I should had drank more as I crashed in the restaurant - nauseated and couldn't eat or drink
