Pre-race routine:

A noon start is definitely unique, but I was feeling great and slept in quite a bit so I was happy for it. Just had a bowl of cereal before heading over and a banana shortly before it started.

Comments:

Had no desire to race this given that I wasn't feeling 100% but didn't just straight up jog either. Basically went with a slightly uncomfortable pace that ended up mostly being between 7:00-7:30/mi. With a little over a mile to go a guy passed me and I decided to let him go. Then another guy passed me and said he was trying to catch the first guy, as well as this person I had been trailing for most of the race. That was enough to get my competitive juices flowing, so I went with the guy for a very tough last mile plus. We passed both guys which was pretty fun, but man did it hurt!
What would you do differently?:

Nothing, happy with my run today. Despite not feeling great I'm happy I decided to show up.
Post race
Warm down:

Did a little stretching while getting food. Was cold so I took a short jog back to by car.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Not feeling 100%. Also not really in training right now, just maintaining during the offseason right now. Also didn't go all out here

Event comments:

Good club race, the pizza was a nice touch. Still wish they would have something other than water at aid stations, but can't complain too much.
