Bike
Comments: Well marked course throughout which was useful. I also used the "Ride with GPS" app that had the course logged with turn by turn instructions and notifications. I feel like the 2nd SAG stop (on the 68-mile course) was really far after the 1st SAG stop. It would have been nice to have it a little more evenly spaced out. What would you do differently?: I would "NOT" have pulled the 3-4 riders all the way for the 2nd leg. I should have pulled off and let them know that I didn't want to stay in the front of our pack. I paid for that mistake on the 3rd/final leg. My legs were pretty trashed and I couldn't handle 3 of the hills and I got off my bike and had to walk the hills. Post race
Warm down: Quickly pulled off and drank a clean bottle of water and headed back to the car What limited your ability to perform faster: I went too hard on the middle leg and my fitness was not up to par to be able to finish strong. Regardless, I was able to read the signals my body was sending me during the entire ride and respond pretty quickly to what I needed to do to avoid bonking and make it home safe. Event comments: Good event location for staging the Start/Finish (Waterfront Park @ Clermont, FL). The hills in Clermont are no joke but it's not anything that you can't handle with even a little bit of consistent bike training beforehand. It's really a good ride/course since you are able to get such long stretches of road without much car traffic if any at all. Last updated: 2016-02-11 12:00 AM

Parked the car, put the bike together, and rolled up to the staging area. I ate a half of a PBJ and banana in the car on the ride to the event.
Nothing.
