Pre-race routine:

Had 1/2 bagel 3 hours before, banana 1-1'/2 hours before and chews (90 cals) 15 minutes before race start.

Comments:

The way out was not too bad. There was a bit of chop the second half. The way back was horrible. The chop and waves were bad. I got blown way off course and could not see the buoy line. Everyone I talked to after the race with a Garmin said the course measured over .7 miles, instead of .5 miles. Someone said that if this was their first race, they would probably not ever do another!!
