Run
Comments: Run started next to a golf course and proceeded through a quiet neighborhood, a few brave spectators were out cheering. After a few miles the course was out in wine country. The winter rains made for lush green fields and wonderful scenery. The course was mostly flat with a few dips until about 6 where it gradually descended down to the river bed. From there it followed the river until a steep climb at about mile 12.5. There were many participants who walked this climb however I managed to keep my legs moving despite them being weary. The final stretch was flat and I gave it a burst of speed to finish. What would you do differently?: Good race overall. Post race
Warm down: Stretched my legs and enjoyed the post-race breakfast. Event comments: Great run through beautiful wine country. Last updated: 2016-03-24 12:00 AM

I was at an event that ran late so my usual pre-race sushi dinner was later in the evening than normal. Fortunately I was able to get everything ready for the morning and get in bed by a reasonable time. Unfortunately I forgot about the Daylight Savings time switch and was very confused when my alarm went off at 3:30 am instead of 4:30, good thing my phone automatically adjusted!
Drove up to the race location, checked it, and jogged a bit to get ready for the race. By this time the missing hour of sleep was an afterthought.
