Comments: Nasty saddle sore left thigh. Seth kept catching up to me in the road to Wilmington. What would you do differently?: Should have done more hill training Transition 2
What would you do differently?: Should have remembered my timing chip! Run
Comments: Never bonked out! Seth ran beside me for the last 7 miles of the race. He was a former apache helicopter pilot. He now lives in NYC with his family and works as a PA. It was his first Ironman distance triathlon too. What would you do differently?: Remember my timing chip Post race
Warm down: Kiss Dinh What limited your ability to perform faster: Obesity Event comments: I thought I would be emotional when I crossed the finish line. I thought I wanted Mike Reilly to call out my name. Instead, I flew through the finisher chute because my only thought was to hold and kiss my fiance who was waiting for me. It was an amazing experience. The volunteers were amazing. The energy of the crowds was electric. I could not have asked for a better race experience. This was my first and probably only full distance race. I will be a "one and done" type Ironman. Last updated: 2016-05-28 12:00 AM
