Felt good, had one guy behind me pacing off me (legally) , local coach of some note, later he said he thought about trying to go by me but knew it would blow him out.. Problem with the bike is it's so short, there is really no time to stop and catch your breath. Power numbers were down a bit from last year but time was still good

This is where the field just runs away from me. I exited transition in third place, but the bronze medal winner passed me shortly into the run and I just couldn't keep up. 4th passed me with about 3/4 mile to go and beat me by about 15 seconds Still a good run for me. 6th place was about 3 minutes behind

My first triathlon a decade ago, short and very hard if done right. Nice small town local feel. Would have liked to qualify for nationals again, and with 32 peeps in the field missed it by that last guy, since they "round up." ah well.
