Good swim. I knew what to expect this time and went out into deep water and WATCHED for the horn to blow, so I was ready for it. I stayed out deep and didn't get caught in the rocks.

It was really hot. As in, close to triple digits. I carried two squishy water bottles filled with PowerAde in my jersey pockets and drank those, rather than slowing down at the aid stations. Had kids throw water on me as I ran through the aid stations.
What would you do differently?:

Run faster. My Garmin wasn't giving me any data, so no encouragement from technology, and it was way too bloody hot.

28/42 women. Jumped in the river for about 20 minutes or so.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

My body and the heat.

Event comments:

These folks put on GREAT races! Very well organized, and yet low key and family friendly.
