Swim
Comments: The swim went well and I think my time felt faster than the posted time. Some of the lost time was getting to the shore and not being certain if I should keep swimming or run in the shallow water. Transition 1
Comments: I had a little trouble clicking in the shoes on the right side. No wetsuit to worry about on this warm night. What would you do differently?: I want to learn how to have the pedals and shoes ready for me to just jump onto the bike. Bike
Comments: The course was crowded with slower people from the earlier waves. I honestly got too much free speed from drafting behind people. I tried to pass or create space but it was crowded. Transition 2
Comments: I went down the wrong row and I also struggled to pedal with my feet on top of the shoes. Run
Comments: I think I had some room in the tank to go faster. Post race
Warm down: I enjoyed the free massage. The food looked good but I had little appetite. I was surprised at how much I did not want the sugar from the free cookies. What limited your ability to perform faster: Struggled with pacing on the run. How fast can I go in a 5k? Most of my training has been to get ready for Louisville so the speed training has been absent. Event comments: I love the live music, great food, and overall sense of atmosphere. I am also glad that the rain and wind moved past before the start of the race. Last updated: 2016-08-18 12:00 AM

Easy day at work. I was going to arrive early to the park but then the skies opened with a deluge of rain and wind. Waited for the storm to pass. So I arrived about 4:30pm. Earlier in the week I got my bike tuned up.
I swam in the water for ten minutes to get a feel for the temp.
