Pre-race routine:

I was in class at the National Fire Academy so i had to get-up at 3am to drive to Annapolis. Got there a bit early and ate a banana and a Bonk Breaker.

Comments:

This is a good, tough course. Some good hills on the bridge and in the neighborhoods. Very scenic. I started way too quick for me. Through the first 4 miles I was averaging 8:10 and then the hills hit. Slowed down a bunch but was able to maintain 8:41. The course is a bit longer than 10mies (10.12)

Paced better in the beginning

Course: This course starts out and the Naval stadium and runs through beautiful historic Annapolis before reaching the Severn bridge. The bridge is tough - bout .35mi up hill and then down into a neighborhood. Eventually, you have to cross the bridge again and back to the stadium.
