Pre-race routine:

stayed overnight at Eva's so didn't sleep great. ate one piece of toast with pb & j for breakfast, then had coffee & water.

brief 5 minute warmup, just jogged.

Comments:

ran okay, but had no kick at all. I felt like I could have run faster, but didn't push very hard. It felt hard to kick it up into the next gear -- perhaps I need to do more of my intervals on the track?
What would you do differently?:

Perhaps do some real pickups before the race to get my leg turnover up. My legs felt a little sluggish in the first .5 miles and then I never really kicked it into gear. didn't really suffer.
