No wetsuit for 400 m swim. Time posted on line combined swim + T1 (total 9:06).... 6:35 was time out of water on my watch. Overall swim was good - felt strong throughout.... lots of traffic at start!

Long run from water to transition area through sand.... getting sand off of feet took extra time. Socks & Shirt on went smooth, but all takes extra time
What would you do differently?:

Next tri I will attempt barefoot (no socks!) and will wear tri shirt under wetsuit

Race number came off of hooks from belt.... didn't impede T2 time, but I had to stop during run and re-hook. Lost 30 seconds at least
What would you do differently?:

New race belt that clips number on - no hooks. Otherwise T2 was smooth

Overall felt strong - sub 8 minute mile is all I can ask for. Tried to push hard during last 1/2 mile, but my legs literally would not budge. Kept on pace and finished strong.

Great race - lots of fun... well organized. Started 20 minutes late - my only complaint. Race results posted immediately after race on site! Fun post-race give-aways, neat course.
