Swim
Comments: I had very low expectations , seeing that I've been in the water less than 5 times this year. My goal was a smooth swim, and I managed this well. Never pushed, just focused ona smoooth stroke and even breathing. Was pleased to see I was the fastest in my AG. What would you do differently?: nothing Transition 1
Comments: Wetsuit stuck a bit, but nothing too bad What would you do differently?: nothing Bike
Comments: Somehow I missed a timing mat, and my bike split and T2 times were lumped together. I estimated a 1 min T2. I don't know th eexact split, but would have been around 5th in teh AG What would you do differently?: train more Transition 2
Run
Comments: I was scared for the run. Haven't done a brick since the IM last Sept, almost 9 months ago. My goal was 30 min, and to break 29, I was ecstatic. My legs were trashed, and the quads are sore from the hills. But I powered through, ran pretty evenly the whole way. What would you do differently?: nohting Post race
Warm down: walked around and bit and wathced others come in What limited your ability to perform faster: lack of training Event comments: Still a great smaller race with ~250 racers. Plenty of support, great post-race spread. I will continue to do this race yearly. Last updated: 2017-06-04 12:00 AM
