Run
Comments: Here's my micro race report. I met my main goal that it felt easy enough that I didn't need a paramedic - I couldn't wait for the recovery ride in the morning, and there's the extra bonus that I could still climb up curbs, and even stairs! No BQ this time. I was on an easy 8:03 pace for the first half, but couldn't find the afterburners, and lost 20:00 the second half. (I didn't slow until mile 15 and had a 7:58 BQ pace through mile 18) In my PSP Front Runners shirt, I met great FRs from all over the country. I was the old guy from Palm Springs ;) What would you do differently?: The logs say I had more miles bot no speed work compared to my first, easier 26.2. Next time, I'll do at least what I did for Paso, including at least a fast hour per week on the treadmill. Oh, and the toe boxes on the Skechers Ultra Rs were too stiff and bruised my big toes. Here are the results. And here is the live.cc video. Post race
Warm down: I got everything I could find to eat and drink, then walked to the hotel, then had a burger and shake on the way out of town. What limited your ability to perform faster: Not enough speed work. Event comments: A very well executed race! Last updated: 2017-06-04 12:00 AM

I woke up at 2:45 at the hotel, snacked, and walked to get in line for the buses to Ojai.
It was cold, so I walked up and down the street until just before the gun, and ditched my throw-away jacket.
