Comments: Run went about as well as I could have hoped for ! Drank so much water that I had to go use the porta potty within the first 4 miles of the run (honestly I had to use it from mile 0 but I wanted to keep pace with the 1:50 pacer). I dropped the 1:50 pacer after mile 1 and decided I would push myself to try and run a 1:45. Around mile 9.5 I realized that would no longer be possible as I was slowing down but I finished strong with a good kick at the end What would you do differently?: Consume lots of fluids the night before, but not necessarily as much the hour or two prior to race Post race
Event comments: Event was well organized with enough volunteers staffed along the course! Weather was also perfect in the low 60s and overcast. Need to improve gear checkout as my bag had lost the tag and I was fortunate to be able to find it among a stack of tagless bags. Last updated: 2017-06-07 12:00 AM
