Swim
Comments: Trained in a shallow lap pool and was not prepared mental to dive into the deep end. For some reason 13 feet of water scared me. Also, my lap pool is NOT 25 yds no matter what they say. Did not take into account passing and freaked when i touched someone knocking off my swim cap. What would you do differently?: Don't freak out! You can swim. Just keep swimming, just keep swimming Transition 1
Comments: only got halfway out of my swimsuit. Forgot the rest. Leaned on bike to put on shoes and almost knocked the stand over What would you do differently?: Don't bother wearing a swimsuit. Get a tri top. Get lace locks Don't worry about socks Bike
Comments: Bike chain slipped and had to be reset during race What would you do differently?: Double check bike. Push harder. Get pedals or clips Transition 2
Comments: Almost knocked over someone else's bike What would you do differently?: Breath, calm down. Run
Comments: Find a run walk cadence. Push myself harder What would you do differently?: Push myself harder. I could have shaved off 2-3 minutes Post race
Warm down: Hugs, pictures and walking with family What limited your ability to perform faster: Fear, mechanical issues, mental Event comments: Great experience for my first tri. Supportive women, a course that was not too difficult and close to home. Would definitely do it again to try to improve my PR and as a warm up for longer races later in the season.
