Swim
Comments: This was a great swim for me. I felt like I was doing well during the swim and I was glad to see my time when I exited the lake. I sited well. The water was the perfect temp for a wetsuit. I didn't get caught behind anyone slower. It was really as good as I could hope for. What would you do differently?: The swim is, and maybe always will be, my limiting factor. Going to swim through the winter this year and I am going to hire a swim coach to try to get my swimming in alignment with bike and run. Transition 1
Comments: Wetsuit came off quick. Was glad I wore it. Bike
Comments: Oh so close to 20 mph. I love this race but man this bike course is not conducive to fast times. There were a few awkward turns, almost u turns and this seal cost that they use on the creek and river parkway roads is bumpy enough to be annoying. I know we all have to bike the same bike course but I think I got spoiled by the Chisago bike course a few weeks ago! What would you do differently?: I think I'm going to buy a tri bike for 2018. Yikes! Transition 2
Run
Comments: Not my best 5k. Good swim and good bike and ok run. Is it possible in triathlon to do well in all three on one day?? Probably not! Post race
Event comments: I love the YWCA women's triathlon. Great race. Great atmosphere. Awesome people. Close to home. Supportive volunteers. Last updated: 2017-08-13 12:00 AM

Quick breakfast and coffee at the house before biking down to nokomis. Doesn't get much better than a race start 1 mile from home.
