![]() Swim
Comments: This was a great swim for me. I felt like I was doing well during the swim and I was glad to see my time when I exited the lake. I sited well. The water was the perfect temp for a wetsuit. I didn't get caught behind anyone slower. It was really as good as I could hope for. What would you do differently?: The swim is, and maybe always will be, my limiting factor. Going to swim through the winter this year and I am going to hire a swim coach to try to get my swimming in alignment with bike and run. ![]() Transition 1
Comments: Wetsuit came off quick. Was glad I wore it. ![]() Bike
Comments: Oh so close to 20 mph. I love this race but man this bike course is not conducive to fast times. There were a few awkward turns, almost u turns and this seal cost that they use on the creek and river parkway roads is bumpy enough to be annoying. I know we all have to bike the same bike course but I think I got spoiled by the Chisago bike course a few weeks ago! What would you do differently?: I think I'm going to buy a tri bike for 2018. Yikes! ![]() Transition 2
![]() Run
Comments: Not my best 5k. Good swim and good bike and ok run. Is it possible in triathlon to do well in all three on one day?? Probably not! ![]() Post race
Event comments: I love the YWCA women's triathlon. Great race. Great atmosphere. Awesome people. Close to home. Supportive volunteers. Last updated: 2017-08-13 12:00 AM

Quick breakfast and coffee at the house before biking down to nokomis. Doesn't get much better than a race start 1 mile from home.
