I did OK here. I swam way too far wide, which made the course long for me. I swam an extra 100m probably. I had to turn on my bike three times because I was tired. I wasn't very anxious though, which is a plus! I need to work on sighting.
What would you do differently?:

Work on sighting, find a good steady pace, get comfortable swimming in the mix so I don't have to swim extra.

Got my hair stuck on my pony tail again! I need to figure out a better way to wear my hair so I don't have to worry about this anymore! Maybe french braids?
What would you do differently?:

Braid my hair before the race. I'm not really sure what else I can do to speed this up?

SO BAD here!! I could not pick up speed, and I really struggled with the hills. I was also afraid to go too fast on the downhills or to move into aero. I need to work on the bike really bad.
What would you do differently?:

Everything? Pedal through the downhills, learn to climb hills more efficiently, drink more, etc.

This could have been faster too. Not sure what took me so long. I think I was a little bit further away.. I had to run longer with my bike.

Slower than normal. I had to stop at the beginning of the run on the uphills because my calves were cramping. The uphill was absolutely brutal. I made up for it on the downhill though, thankfully.
What would you do differently?:

Pushed through the cramps and just kept going.

Event comments:

This race was very cool! I wish I would have been better prepared. The swim was very fun (I liked the time trial start!), the volunteers were nice, the bike was well mapped out (and any hazards were clearly marked), and the transitions were very organized. The course was beautiful too! It was a very challenging course.. next time I will incorporate more hills into my training!
