Swim
Comments: The swim was a mass start so the pushing, pulling and shoving in the washing machine was expected. By the second loop everything has thinned out so I could focus on the swim and not ervyone else. What would you do differently?: Nothing. I had a great swim. Transition 1
Comments: I changed cloths and put on cycling bibs. Wanted to be comfortable for the 112 mike journey. What would you do differently?: Nothing Bike
Comments: There are 6 memorable hills including sugarloaf mountain. What would you do differently?: I trained by heart rate , and I was feeling so good in the first lap. I paid for it dearly as the heat hit the 90s on the second lap. My legs started cramping so bad that I had to walk up sugarloaf on the third lap. Transition 2
Comments: Changed into some shorts from my bibs What would you do differently?: My legs were hurting and I was happy to get off the bike and start the run Run
Comments: I was able to run about a mile until my legs started to cramp and lock up. I tried to walk run for about 5 miles until I could no longer run without my legs immediately locking up. Thanks to some folks who helped pull my cramps out. By mile 9, I started to loose the ability to walk. I did finish but missed the cut off. What would you do differently?: I did loop one on the bike way too fast, which ended up destroying my run. Post race
