Run
Comments: started out ok and first time to try and pace using power. Worked pretty well but I could tell my legs didn't have as much training as needed as I can start feeling them get a little heavy around Mile 11. Did ok until around Mile 20 where the long uphill killed my legs for good. Survived the last 10 km but definitely slow. No major issues (except for the pace). What would you do differently?: Given that I had an ankle injury about a month before the race that disrupted my training at the peak volume time, it was a decent race. Had initial hopes of being able to run 3:25 but quickly evaporated at Mile 20 Post race
Warm down: Just walked to the refreshment area, rested a bit, and drove home as I had a flight to catch What limited your ability to perform faster: MIssing out 2 weeks of training at peak volume right before taper. Event comments: This race is always organized and it was the first time I ran the full marathon version after about half a dozen halfs. Entertainment and lots of volunteers on course. A lot more elevation changes than I was expecting for Dallas. Last updated: 2017-12-31 12:00 AM

Left the house around 5:15 and went to the downtown AT&T Headquarters where I parked. Used restrooms there and met with other runners at mini breakfast. Ran the 3 blocks to the starting corrals just in time
None except for the run to the start corral - Started in Corral A
